Gold bands on the 1ml and 2ml ampoules identify the pre-scoring function for easy opening. Transparent glass ampoules are designed for freeze-drying, proteolysis, and trace measurement of ketones and amino acids. Safety tips:

When opening the ampoules, protect your hands from broken glass with a tissue, light cloth or gauze. To open the ampoule, hold the ampoule with both hands and place one thumb against the narrow top. Firmly hold the bottom of the ampoule while pushing the top away from you with easy, even pressure. Light pressure should open the ampoule cleanly, while too much pressure may cause it to shatter.
