Experimental Beaker Neutral Glass Tube
Heat-resistant glass (refers to a special glass that contains boric acid and silicic acid with strong heat resistance and can withstand changes in temperature difference between cold and heat It is not easy to break. It has a series of excellent properties such as low expansion, thermal shock resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high strength. Its raw material price is higher than ordinary glass, and the manufacturing cost is also higher. Therefore, the selling price of heat-resistant glass is higher than that of ordinary glass and tempered glass. The glass is high. The heat-resistant glass material has a high safety factor and will never self-explode like tempered glass; the coefficient of thermal expansion is small, the range of resistance to rapid temperature changes (≥120°C) is large, and the maximum temperature of heat resistance is up to 1200°C. Heat-resistant glass Mostly used for utensils, baby bottles, experimental beakers, industrial boiler sight glasses, mechanical equipment window glass, etc.
Alkaline earth metal oxide raw materials: CaO, MgO, BaO, ZnO, PbO materials. Adding CaO and MgO to the glass can reduce the tendency of soda silica glass to crystallize and enhance the chemical stability. It can reduce the viscosity of glass at high temperature and promote the melting and refining of glass. However, as the temperature decreases the viscosity increases rapidly, difficulty forming operation. The raw materials are limestone (CaCO3) and dolomite sulphur ore (MgCO3), or contain both CaO and MgO. BaO and ZnO are often added to the glass to adjust the refractive index and chemical stability of the glass. The raw materials used are generally industrial zinc oxide and BaCO3, BaSO4 or Ba(NO3)2. PbO glass was added can significantly increase the refractive index and dispersion, short wavelength light absorbing glass. While increasing the proportion of the melting temperature decreases, good wettability with the metal. The listed PbO raw materials are red lead, yellow lead or industrial lead nitrate.
